Chandra manages several juvenile justice evaluation projects, specifically focusing on juvenile diversion and restorative justice. In addition to supporting youth through these evaluation projects, Chandra also supports evaluation projects across the company through her participation in OMNI’s Spanish Committee, helping to ensure accurate translation of evaluation materials is available to those whose first language is Spanish. Chandra is a Governor-appointed volunteer board member on her local Citizens Review Board for Children and spends her free time running, bicycling, enjoying time with her family, and watching her chickens free range.

Marijuana Tax Fund: Evaluation of Diversion Substance Use Prevention Efforts

The Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Council and the Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ) hired Omni to provide an evaluation that will contribute to the reduction of substance use among youth in diversion programs. Eight juvenile diversion programs applied for and received money from the Marijuana Tax Cash Fund in order to increase access to substance use screening, assessment and treatment services for youth receiving juvenile diversion programming.

Colorado Juvenile Diversion Evaluation Report

The Juvenile Diversion Grant program, funded by Colorado state statute and administered through the Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), diverts youth who have committed offenses from further involvement in the juvenile justice system.
