About
Monica is an experienced research and evaluation professional with a strong focus on measurement development and generating evidence-based insights to guide programmatic decision-making. She has extensive experience evaluating children and family services, including parent education programs, youth volunteer initiatives, education partnerships, and early literacy efforts. Monica is skilled in organizational strategic planning, particularly in developing logic models and theories of change, ensuring that evaluation projects are well-aligned with program goals and objectives. Her background in children and family services, along with her expertise in mixed methods research, supports her ability to produce thorough and impactful evaluations. She has served as a project manager and research lead for evaluation projects in both the nonprofit and government sectors, overseeing the process from project proposal through to final insights.Previously, Monica has served as Research Director at the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership, Senior User Experience Researcher at Dell Technologies, and adjunct lecturer at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her extensive background includes managing mixed methods evaluation studies for nonprofit and government entities, overseeing complex data collection and analysis efforts, and presenting findings to key stakeholders. In addition, Monica has held leadership roles in the public sector, including managing data analysis for the Jefferson County Public Library, where she oversaw research and reporting on key performance indicators. Outside of work, Monica is an avid artist and loves to incorporate creative arts and crafts projects in her home and with her children. She also love gardening, hiking, and being in nature.
