Innovation for Impact: Announcing Omni's New Head of Innovation

We’re excited today to announce a new investment in Omni Institute that will expand our impact for clients and help communities drive lasting social change. We have created a new role, Head of Innovation, focused on building new tools, expanding our services, and exploring new pathways to deliver impactful results for our clients and the broader social sector.

This new role is not about chasing shiny new technology trends. It is rooted in our belief that social science must adapt and change to meet the current moment by maintaining both the rigor in our methods that yield the best results, while simultaneously working as efficient and effective stewards of community resources.

Our innovation program will focus on building new ways for us to design solutions that meet communities where they are. Yes, we will leverage technology to develop new tools, but we will take a broader approach to innovation by testing new methods of service delivery that help communities scale their impact.

This new initiative at Omni will be led by one of our most experienced leaders, former Vice President of Research and 12-year Omni veteran Holen Hirsh, who knows both our values and our work inside and out. Holen brings the expertise, creativity, and credibility to help guide us toward new ways of working that amplify the impact, not the complexity.

We also believe innovation in our sector should be open and collaborative. Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing what we’re learning, what we’re building, and how it’s making a difference in real communities. We encourage others in our sector to reach out to explore greater collaboration and partnership in this work and to find ways to work together to develop the next generation of approaches and tools that will help communities measure, improve, and scale their impact toward real and lasting positive social change.
