About

Puspanjali Gurung is a Research Fellow at OMNI and will provide methodological and project management support to a diverse set of projects. Her work will consist of implementing data management protocols, conducting basic qualitative coding and quantitative descriptive analysis, supporting deliverable development, and providing administrative project support. Prior to OMNI, Puspanjali served as an Executive Assistant for the South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation, where she managed communication with cancer survivors and donors. Additionally, as a research student, she examined the effects of chemotherapy on the skeletal muscle mitochondrial function of breast cancer patients using Near-infrared spectroscopy. Lastly, her experience as a research student led her to pursue a Teaching Fellowship for a course in Research and Evaluation in Health Sciences that allowed her to gain skills in teaching quantitative methods in SPSS to undergraduate students. In her free time, Puspanjali enjoys dancing to Nepali traditional songs.

I want to be a driver of positive social change and help improve health inequities that exist within our society. I believe that this fellowship gives me the opportunity to do so through meaningful projects.
